In life we come close to death. As creative beings humans often strive towards death to better understand who we are collectively and individually. Through creative process it is Stan Read’s intention to allow himself to be slave to the all-encompassing creative force - the thing which connects us all and motivates us to explore - and abandon any negations or stigma attached to death and depression. He uses music and people as his subject; selecting music that helps to put him in a place where he can best channel his emotions and people who remind him of different parts of himself.
